Foreign Students Up
The number of international students on the mainland surpassed 238,000 last year, up more than 6.5 percent over 2008, the Ministry of Education said in a document on its website Monday.
More than 67 percent of the students came from Asian countries, which was followed by 15 percent from Europe and about 10 percent from the US.
South Korea, the US and Japan ranked the top three among the 190 countries and regions that sent international students on the mainland.
