Chinese, Danish Experts Pledge to Enhance Education Exchanges
Education experts from China and Denmark on Wednesday pledged to boost education exchanges, particularly on Chinese culture.
Giving a lecture at the Confucius Institute of Copenhagen Business School on China's education system, Wang Minzhu, vice principal of the high school affiliated with Renmin University of China, introduced the school's educational practice.
Wang presented her perspectives on how secondary education in China could cater to contemporary social trends, to integrate wisdom from both the East and the West and to realize the goals of education.
Wang detailed the school's endeavors in promoting social education and science education, establishing a diversified curriculum and launching international programs.
The school's philosophy was to respect individuality, to explore student potential, and to create a favorable environment for the rapid development of all students and the country, she said.
Confucius Institute of Copenhagen Business School director Verner Worm said he highly appreciated the Chinese school's work in promoting Chinese language teaching and the co-founding of a Confucius classroom with Niels Steensens Gymnasiums (NSG).
He joked, "We can not compete with China's schools, they are too good, and we can only choose to cooperate and exchange with them."
A Danish middle school principal said, "I hope the Danish schools can continue to strengthen international exchanges with the Chinese schools to learn from each other and promote comprehensive development."
