On behalf of China Law Society, Han Zhubin extended the warmest congratulations to the opening of the forum. He pointed out that young jurists and legalists were the hope for the boom of China’s laws and the future of the construction of China’s legal system. Law Youth Forum is another important step in the implementation of legal talent-nurturing strategy. It’s critical to set up a high-standard, interdisciplinary, cross-field academic platform to form a long-term and effective mechanism for nurturing outstanding young talents in laws. Then, a team of young legalists with intelligence and virtue will stand out through mutual communication and interaction. Han Zhubin hoped that young jurists and legalists could reinforce their political awareness and orientation, serve the development of legal science, strengthen the spirit of innovation and improve themselves continuously to make contribution to the development of laws in China and take up the serious responsibilities as required by the times.
On behalf of Shanghai CPC Committee and Shanghai Politics and Law Committee, Wu Zhimin addressed to the ceremony. He said, China was undergoing a significant period of social transition. The development of modern society not only provides rich material for law research but also brings new challenges. In the era of changes and revolutions, it’s an unshirkable historical mission for contemporary law workers to promote the cause of law research and the development of China’s legal system. Wu Zhiming also said that the rising stars in laws all over the country came to Shanghai, which was a golden opportunity for the circle of laws in Shanghai to learn the newest trends and achievements in this field.
The theme of the forum is “risk society and legal innovation”. 82 effective papers have been collected and evaluated anonymously by the expert committee of the forum. 12 excellent papers have been singled out as report papers. Participants in the forum make judgments and analyses on the various social risks that China is now facing with. Indeed, the forum is a crash of wisdom and intelligence from a novel perspective of social risk-controlling to provide theoretical support for practice and innovation in a wider range of fields at a deeper level.
