Director of SJTU Administration Committee Led a Visiting Delegation to MIT

On June 14, on behalf of SJTU, Director of SJTU Administration Committee Ma Dexiu led a visiting delegation to MIT. President of MIT Madame Susan Hockfield met Director Ma dexiu and the delegation. President Susan Hockfield extended the warmest welcome to Ma’s second visit to MIT. Both parties reviewed the development of relationship and achievements in cooperative programs between the two universities since Ma’s last visit to MIT in 2006 and decided to update the present programs and launch new cooperative programs in more fields. During the visiting period, Ma and the delegation visited the media center, the lab for computer science and artificial intelligence and the Sloan Engine Laboratory of MIT. They also conducted deep discussions with the professors concerned. Other leaders of SJTU involved in this visit were Vice-president Huang Zhen, Special Consultant of president Ni Jun, and President of Antai College of Economics and Management Zhou Lin, President of Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance Zhang Chun, etc. Vice-dean of MIT Academic Affairs Philip Khoury, Head of the China Strategy Workgroup Victor Zue also participated in the meeting.
