Zhejiang University Delegation to Visit UNESCO Headquarter in Paris
On July 16, President Yang Wei headed Zhejiang University delegation to pay a visit to the UNESCO headquarter in Paris and visited ZJU alumni in France. President Yang Wei had a meeting with Dr. Hassmik Tortian who is responsible for international cooperation and projects in UNESCO. Dr. Tortian gave her congratulation on Zhejiang University becoming UNESCO’s member of enterprise education, hoping that ZJU can enthusiastically promote the development in research, training, documentation and other fields of enterprise education and the cooperation between ZJU and world-class universities. She also expressed her hope that in the near future, Zhejiang University would develop to become the center of the Asian network of enterprise education. President Yang Wei expressed his gratitude for Dr. Tortian’s support for Zhejiang University. He noted that the membership of enterprise education in UNESCO would surely help the development of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary education and research at Zhejiang University on its way to becoming a world-class university. Zhejiang University will be more than willing to make contributions to cultural development of the world. During their visit, President Yang Wei and his delegation visited ZJU alumni in Pairs and briefed them on the status and development of the University as well as future plans and objectives. Alumni also expressed their deepest love and best wishes to Zhejiang University.
