Zhejiang University Team Made Great Achievements in RoboCup 2010
From June 19 to 25, RoboCup 2010 was held at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre. More than 3,000 contestants participated in the competition. Zhejiang University Team won the third place in Rescue Simulation League and also were among the top eight in Humanoid League.
The competition for Rescue Simulation League simulated urban earthquake disaster scenarios which required rescue robot groups to collaborate with each other to rescue as many wounded people as possible and preserve buildings in given time so as to minimize losses. ZJUBase team endeavored to win the third place in the final.
In Humanoid League, ZJUDancer team was among the top eight in the competition. Though it didn't get to the final, the stability and elegance of the robots won recognition and appreciation. It’s now aimed at making breakthroughs next year.
