Volunteers of Chinese Studies are introducing Confucius Institute
On March 4--6, 2011, Poznan International Exhibition Centre, Poland got unusually bustling, where there is the 15th Poland Education Fair, and hundreds of universities, high schools and primary schools and other educational institutes participated in the fair. Mickiewicz University offered a booth for show. The booth, ornamented with two red Chinese lanterns and China knots, was very noticeable, and the people were in an endless stream visiting and asking questions.
This is the second time for Confucius Institute at Mickiewicz University to participate in the Education Fair since the Confucius Institute participated in the event for the first time last year, with richer and more colorful brochures. Meanwhile, CI at UAM this year tried to make Confucius Institute Online known extensively to publics on the platform of educational fair. Brochures about Confucius Institute Online were given off at the fair, and more people came to know more about Confucius Institute Online.
Apart from Chinese and Polish directors of CI, Chinese teachers employed by the CI at UAM and volunteer students from Department of Sinology of Mickiewicz University also took active parts in the arrangement and introduction at the fair, answering questions of all sorts and introducing Confucius Institute and Chinese courses by CI. The brochures for introduction of Confucius Institute were all given off very soon.
Poland Education Fair, now a very important platform for the development of education and teaching in Poland, held once a year, is a large-scale authoritative professional one, drawing crowds of students of universities and high and primary schools and their parents to pay visits and consult. It is advantageous for Confucius Institute to be known by larger and larger population. It is approved that 2010 Poland Education Fair plays an a part of most significance for CI at UAM, and it is convinced that 2011 Poland Education Fair will promote significantly the further development of CI at UAM in a sustainable and healthy way.
