Experience Courses on Chinese Culture

On July 25-29,2011, Confucius Classroom Munich held a five-day "2011 Summer Chinese Language and Culture" course. The 17 primary and secondary students from Bavarian International School participated in the cultural experience programs. According to age, the 17 students were divided into two classes. The classes lasted from 9 a.m. to 1p.m. each day.

In just a few days, the students not only learned the Chinese language, but also experienced the rich content Chinese culture, such as Chinese calligraphy, ink painting, martial arts, Chinese paper-cut and handiwork, etc.. They exposed themselves to the atmosphere of Chinese culture, and personally experienced the unique meaning and charm of Chinese

At the end of the course, the students also did a report performance to their parents and teachers to show their learning outcomes. In the performing process, the students showed their talents. They demonstrated the skills, which they learned in the Confucius classroom these days, very vividly.

First, they performed a rap in Chinese, and then showed the Tai Chi Fans dance. Finally, they gave the Chinese Kung Fu show “Tiger Boxing”. The whole process was not very long, but the programs were very brilliant.

The parents gave a high evaluation and full recognition on the work of Confucius Classroom Munich, and the students also hope to have the opportunity again to participate in the similar cultural experience program.

Finally, the students received the language learning certificate awarded from the Confucius classroom Munich.

At the end of the course, the students are taking pictures with the Chinese Director of the Confucius Classroom Munich, the teachers, and their parents.
