Transtlate On April 5, 2012 UK University Students Study China Program commenced at Yuquan campus, Zhejiang University. 105 university students from 50 universities including Oxford University, Durham University, University of Manchester and so on started their 17-day tour of cultural exchange experience.
Vice-President Wu Ping attended the opening ceremony, delivered a welcoming speech and also encouraged students to develop friendship with their Chinese peers while learning Chinese language and culture at Zhejiang University.
This is the fourth time Zhejiang University has hosted the UK University Students Study China Program. Altogether there have been 314 university students been to Zhejiang University in this program. This year, during their stay in China, students will attend courses covering Chinese history, culture, economy, calligraphy, painting and so on, practice tai chi and martial arts, visit West Lake, Wu Zhen, Song Cheng, make site visit joint to ventures, interact with Zhejiang University students and so on.
