5th Chinese Bridge Contest Held in Northwest Normal University

May 17, The fifth "Chinese Bridge" International Students Chinese Proficiency Contest Gansu Division preliminary event was held in Lanzhou University. The Event was sponsored by Chinese International Promotion Office and CCTV. 32 international students from universities across Gansu province participated in the event, among which 12 are from NWNU. After fierce competition of Chinese Talents Show and Chinese Knowledge Quiz, NWNU Sudanese student Suliman Alamin Khalid stood out as one of the four contestants qualified for the final contest to be held in Beijing in July.

NWNU International students attached great importance to the "Chinese Bridge" contest. They've held elaborate rehearsals and made meticulous preparations for Chinese Talents Show, Chinese Knowledge Quiz and costumes. The preliminary contest further boosted their passion for Chinese language and culture. They resolved to make full use of their stay in China to learn Chinese traditional talents like martial arts and calligraphy, so as to attend the sixth "Chinese Bridge" contest to be held next year.
