Prof of XMU Zhao Zhenye gives Nanqiang Lecture

Transtlate On the afternoon of October 11th, Professor Zhao Zhenye, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, researcher at the Beijing Aviation Materials Institute, and doctoral supervisor, visited XMU to give a lecture in the Nanqiang Lecture series on “Some basic rules in material science research and engineering projects”. The lecture was chaired by XMU Vice-President Zhang Yin.
Professor Zhao Zhenye is a specialist in the fields of basic theory and application of ultra-high strength steels in aviation engineering, and in the science and technology of alloy design for engineering applications. He was the leader of the research team that successfully developed 300M steel for use in aircraft landing gear, and the design of the landing gear to ensure its long working life.
The audience was enthralled by Prof. Zhao’s lecture and applauded repeatedly. Prof. Zhao was presented with a “Nanqiang Academic Lecture” memorial plaque by XMU President Zhu Chongshi, and a bouquet of flowers by a representative of the students.
