A Delegation from the University of Kent Visits RUC

RUC Vice-President Prof. Chen Yulu met with Prof. Alex Hughes, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of University of Kent (UKC) and Mr. Stephen Wallis,Associate Director of UKC International Office on Oct. 19th, 2009.

Prof. Chen introduced RUC’s history, faculty and students, disciplinary features and international communication. He said that RUC always attached great importance to cooperation with famous British universities and expected further cooperation with UKC in exchanging students and scholars.

Prof. Hughes briefly introduced the UKC and its cooperation with Chinese universities. She hoped to extend substantial cooperation with RUC in exchanging students so as to take this opportunity to seek cooperation in exchanging scholars and disciplinary communication.

Both sides also discussed profoundly on International Summer School and undergraduate exchange programs.


Representatives from RUC International Office also attended the meeting.

UKC delegation also visited RUC School of Foreign Languages and School of Business and exchanged opinions on details of cooperation.

Established in 1965, UKC enjoys high reputation in British educational circle for its excellent teaching quality and advanced teaching facilities. UKC has abundant teaching and research strength in humanity, social science, law and information technology.
