Sino-Russian High-Level Economic Forum Opens in RUC
The Third Sino-Russian High-level Economic Forum was held in RUC on Nov. 6th, 2009. The forum was jointly organized by RUC and Beijing Municipal Commission of Education and operated by RUC School of Economics and RUC Center for Russian Studies with the theme of “Sino-Russian Cooperation in Economy and Trade under Global Financial Crisis”.
Prof. Maksimtsev Igor, Rector of Saint-Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance(StPSUEF), Prof. Ji Baocheng, President of Renmin University of China, and Mr. Zheng Dengwen, Member of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education, attended the opening ceremony and addressed.
Prof. Yang Ruilong, Dean of RUC School of Economics, chaired the opening ceremony and Prof. Karlik, Vice-Rector of StPSUEF, delivered the keynote speech.
In the afternoon, the second keynote speech of “Sino-Russian Cooperation in Financial Field under Global Financial Crisis” was chaired by Prof. Schubayeva, Director of Department of Fiscal, Finance and International Economy Relationship of StPSUEF.
The third unit of discussion focused on “Sino-Russian Cooperation in the Field of Energy under Global Financial Crisis” that was chaired by Prof. Luo Yongzhi, Director of Center for Russia Studies at the Central University of Finance and Economics. Professors and experts from RUC, StPSUEF, Peking University, Central University of Finance and Economics, Fudan University and Saint-Petersburg State University expressed their own opinions on the aforesaid topics and gave their own speeches. They discussed about the achievement, direction and future of Sino-Russian cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, finance and energy.
After the forum, RUC Vice-President Ms. Xue Huanbai met with the representatives of Russian universities and both sides discussed on possibilities of further cooperation.
