The Memorandum of Cooperation between GDUFS and NYIT
November 15- Vice President of Commercial College of New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) Liu Xianfang and China's representative for the International Business Research Center, Xie Jing, visited GDUFS on November 9th.They were welcomed by Vice-President Chen Deping and leaders from GDUFS’s MBA center Sun Jianjun, Wu Yiming, Ma Shaozhuang and Xu Yiqing.
Chen introduced the current strategy position and the plans for development as well as GDUFS’s achievements under the Reform and Development Plan for Pearl River Delta Region. Furthermore, he expressed his hope that cooperation and communication between both parties would be strengthened.
Sun outlined the characteristics of GDUFS’s MBA center to Liu Xianfang and they reached agreements on many aspects such as credit recognition and short-term visits. Both sides agreed that jointly running schools was an opportunity to propel the Chinese and Americans together in the fields of students' communication, teachers' visits and cultivation.
At the end, on behalf of both sides, Sun and Liu signed, “The Memorandum of Cooperation between GDUFS MBA Education Center and NYIT International Research Center".
Vice Director of GDUFS MBA Center, Wu Yiming, was invited to give a series of speeches at the Universidad Santo Tomas-Chile (UST) from October 19th to November 4th. The three lectures prepared by Wu, focusing on China's business environment influenced by economy, politics, and culture, were very well received. Wu also visited GDUFS exchange students while at UST.
GDUFS has jointly co-operated with UST and Ling Tung University-Taiwan, exchanging visits and students beginning in 2008. Professors from UST have come to visit GDUFS and were warmly welcomed in May, 2009.
