Professor Hu Wei Is Engaged as Academic Advisor

On December 21, 2009, Professor Hu Wei, Dean of School of International and Public Affairs, Shanghai Jiao Tong University attended the Symposium on “Development and Future of International Administrative Science”and the ceremony to release the Chinese version of “International Review of Administrative Science”held at China National School of Administration. At the symposium, he was engaged as academic advisor for the Chinese Version of “International Review of Administrative Science”. This event was jointly held by Chinese Academy of Personnel Science, Chinese Public Administration Society and National School of Administration. Present at the conference also were Dai Guangqian, Vice Chairman of International Institute of Administrative Sciences and former deputy minister of Ministry of Personnel, Jin Panxi, associate editor in chief of “International Review of Administrative Science”and executive member of International Institute of Administrative Sciences, Hong Yi, Vice Dean of National School of Administration, Gao Xiaoping, Vice Chairman of Chinese Public Administration Society and others. The conference was hosted by Wu Jiang, Dean of Chinese Academy of Personnel Science.

At the Symposium on “Development and Future of International Administrative Science”and the ceremony to release the Chinese version of “International Review of Administrative Science”, Professor Hu Wei accepted the appointment letter as academic advisor for the Chinese Version of “International Review of Administrative Science”and gave an academic lecture titled “International Public Administration Theory Evolution and Its Impact on China”. The well-known experts and scholars from Renmin University of China, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University and other colleges attended the conference. As the international social science core journal, SSCI journal, “International Review of Administrative Science”is published by International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS). Founded in 1927, it is one of the authoritative academic journals in the field of international public administrative science. In July, 2009, IIAS and Chinese Academy of Personnel Science signed the contract to publish the Chinese Version of “International Review of Administrative Science”in China, thereafter established the academic committee of “International Review of Administrative Science”(Chinese Version) with Professor Hu Wei as one of the members. It is learnt that in the first issue of “International Review of Administrative Science”(Chinese Version”) the paper of “Public Service Motivation: An Empirical Study Based on Chinese Social Workers”written by Dr. Liu Bangcheng, young teacher in School of International and Public Affairs at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. And this is the only paper with Chinese author in this issue.
