Modern Agricultural Technical Training Base Held in SJTU

Transtlate On the afternoon of April 8, the Symposium on the Development of Modern Agricultural Human Resource System and the opening ceremony of Ministry of Agriculture Modern Agricultural Technical Training Base were held on Qibao Campus of SJTU. Director of the Science and Education Department, Ministry of Agriculture Zhang Jinglin, Associate Director of Shanghai Agricultural Committee Shao Linchu, SJTU Vice President Huang Zhen, SJTU inspector of the vice bureau level, President of the New Countryside Development Research Institute Dong Xiaoming unveiled the nameplate for the base. Director of the Advisory Department, Development Research Center of Shanghai Municipal Government Zhang Zhao’an, Director of the Social Development Devision, Shanghai Agricultural Committee Jin Ying, Director of Minhang Agricultural Committee Liu Ming, and Deputy Director of SJTU Office of Educational Administration Cai Baosong attended the opening ceremony. Zhou Pei, Secretary of the Party Committee, SJTU School of Agriculture and Biology, presided over the ceremony.
As the only training base in Shanghai, SJTU takes great responsibility in training personnel for the grassroots agricultural technique in Shanghai. Zhang Jinglin expressed his expectations for the base: firstly, the advantages of Shanghai’s location and SJTU’s general studies should be taken to promote the training. Secondly, enlarge the range of training so that it includes not only grassroots agricultural technical personnel, but also farmers and new countryside builders. Therefore, it may affect the Yangtze River Delta and even the whole country to form the radiation effect. Thirdly, through training of multiform and multilayer, the base should develop into its own characteristics and experiences; therefore it may stand any test.
