President Wang Meets With Delegation from Thailand

Transtlate President Wang Chongju and Vice President Gou Chaoli met with the delegation from Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna of Thailand on 4th April. Present were Han Yan, Director of the International Cooperation ＆ Exchange Office, Cai Min, Dean of Literature and Journalism School, Bai Qun, Dean of International Business School,Wang Ning, Deputy Dean of School of Tourism and Land Resources and Wang Weiding, Deputy Dean of School of Design and Arts.
The delegation first had a campus tour in the company of VP.Gou and Director Han Yan, and then planted a friendship tree in the Friendship Garden.
During the meeting, president Wang Chongju extended the warmest welcome to the delegation, expressed great thanks to President Chaiyong Eurviriyanukul for his tremendous support in the cooperation of both universities. President Chaiyong Eurviriyanukul expressed that he was very glad to see the fruitful outcome during the past 3 years. In the meeting, both sides hoped to boost the cooperation in staff and students exchange, joint research. The parites also discussed joint-exhibition of art, and 2+1+1 program in which students of Thailand have one-year’s study at CTBU. After the meeting, the two presidents signed the collaboration memorandum.
Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna has been partner university of CTBU since 2007. In 2008, 6 students of CTBU were sent to RUTL studying Thai and 7 Thai students came to CTBU to study Chinese in 2009.
