The First Joint Distance Training Between Widener University and CTBU Launches

The first distance training session, jointly conducted by the International Cooperation & Exchange Office, the School of Social Work and Public Management of CTBU and Widener University U.S.A, was launched on the evening of 13th April. It was the first distance training with foreign universities utilizing the distance learning resources on the campus since the establishment of CTBU. Faculties from the School of Social Work and Public Management and some other schools of CTBU took part in the training.
While at 8 a .m. local time, social work professors and phD students of Widener University were giving the lectures on crisis intervention. With the help of technology, trainers and trainees exchange ideas, raised and/or answer questions spontaneously regardless the 12 hours’ time difference.
The session is one of the training programs with Widener in the field of social work. In the following week, three other sessions on Drug Abuse, Family Problems and The Elderly Issue will be conducted. Prof. Robin Goldberg-Glen, visiting scholar from Widener will be helping the training at the CTBU venue.
