Transtlate On the afternoon of December 16, the former adviser to the Chairman of the Euro Group, economist Günter Grosche visited our school, and gave a speech on "The Euro and the European Monetary Process - Past, Present and Future" for the teachers and students. He talked about issues such as the development history of the euro and the European Monetary Union, the challenges faced with and the monetary policy and management of Eurozone. Prior to the lectures, the President of Lingnan College, Wu Lifan, Vice-President Zhang Yanmei, Deputy Director General of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department, Xu Yao, had a cordial conversation with the guests.
Günter Grosche is the former Special Adviser to Mr. Junker who is the Chairman of the Euro Group, the senior officials of German Finance Ministry, Managing Director of IMF (Germany), the Secretary-General of EU Economic and Financial Committee. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the launch of euro, Delegation of the European Commission to China had invited Günter Grosche to hold a speaking tour in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Guangzhou in China from December 14th to 18th.
