Transtlate “2009 Doctoral Forum of China (System Control and Information Processing)”sponsored by Department of Degree Management & Graduate Education, the Ministry of Education, the Office of Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, undertaken by Graduate School and School of Electronics, Information and Electrical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University was held on Minhang Campus of SJTU during December 13-17.Relied on the national first-level key discipline “control science and engineering”and Key Laboratory of “System Control and Information Processing”Ministry of Education, of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with the opportunity of “the 48th International Conference on Decision and Control Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)”held in Shanghai International Conference Center, the forum was carried out focusing on “system control and information processing for better life”. Professor Yin Jie, Vice President of SJTU, Professor Tian Weifeng, Director of Shanghai Office of Academic Degrees, and Dr. Shen Hongbin, the winner of 2009 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation, from Department of Automation, SJTU delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.
