President of China-Europa Forum Mr. Pierre Calame Visits RUC
RUC President Prof. Ji Baocheng met with Mr. Pierre Calame, President of the China-Europa Forum and General Manager of the Charles Léopold Mayer Foundation, and his delegation on March 25th, 2010. The accompanying visitors included Prof. Yu Shuo, Coordinator General of the Forum, and Ms. Li Juan, Director of China Office in Beijing.
Mr. Pierre Calame expressed his gratitude to President Ji Baocheng for his continual support to the China-Europa forum and highly praised the academic and organizational contributions of RUC to the Forum.
President Ji Baocheng extended his appreciation for Mr. Pierre Calame’s great efforts for the Forum’s development and committed to take full advantages of RUC’s wide-ranging disciplines and broad social connections to promote the long-term development of this unique dialogue and further increase the mutual understanding and common interests between Europe and China
RUC Vice-President Ms. Xue Huanbai and Director of International Office Prof. Tang Zhong also attended the meeting and introduced the preparation of the Third China-Europa Forum.
China-Europa Forum has initiated a long-term dialogue between China and European societies by organizing the forum every two years in China and Europe in turn. The First Forum was held in Nansha, Guangdong Province of China; the Second Forum was held in Brussels, Belgium; this July the Third Forum will be operated by Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Hong Kong.
